Never Give Up

April A to Z Blogging Challenge, hosted here.

My theme this year is exploring the link between mental health and creativity. See my stance on this here.

 N is for Never

Never is a dangerous word. So is it's friend "always."

It's all to easy to say something never happens, or something always goes a certain way.

This is one of those times we need to check ourselves. Statistically speaking things don't always or never happen. Saying "that never works,"  or "I'll never reach this goal," is pointless.

The only important Never is this: Never Give Up!

Never give up on your goals. Never give up your hope for a better future. Never give up on that writing project you are working on.

What if you were one small step away... what if all that you have been working for was just about to finally happen, only you quit one day too soon?

Tomorrow could be the day you succeed.

Keep going. Never give up. The results--whether they are personal development goals, fitness goals, or creative goals--are worth it. If they weren't, you would NEVER have started in the first place. And you wouldn't ALWAYS keep coming back to your dreams.

Good luck!

  1. This is awesome! I totally agree, and I always roll my eyes when someone says never or always. That's a sure recipe to be proven wrong. Your example of when never is appropriate is excellent, I'll be back to read more of your posts... great theme! :-)

  2. which writing project I'm working on? There's so many I'm losing count.. I never give up starting new projects and I'm, gradually, working my way to finishing one as, like you say, I might only be a day away. I've got many more tomorrows to work through for some of my writing projects but I won't give up.
