Wow, I haven't posted in so long!
The last month or so has been pretty busy. Of course it's the holiday season, there's work, kids, new kittens... you know, the usual. I have been focusing any "spare" time and creative energy on my current WIP, which is the new all-time-love-of-my-life. (I may be a bit overexcited about this one.)
Hopefully when the holiday season is over I'll be starting the new year with a (nearly?) completed manuscript. Its nice to get things off to a good start. I mean, if we survive the apocalypse and all. I'd still want to read, wouldn't you?
One of my favorite parts of the new year has always been looking forward to the next book in a couple of the series I read. They usually come out in the first part of the year. If you haven't read these series. Do it. Now.
Ever After (Hallows series), by Kim Harrison- out January 22nd. Squeal! I'm simultaneously stoked and anxious- I think we're getting near the end of the series here.. then what will I do???
Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson), by Patricia Briggs- out March 5th. While I'm certainly happy for the success of Ms. Briggs' Alpha and omega series, in my mind nothing compares to the Mercy series. And seriously stop making me wait. So. Long. (impatient fan moment ;))
Wishing you all the best during the holiday season (even if you don't do the whole Christmas hoopla)!! I hope I get back to posting regularly before then but if not: Best wishes for the new year!
May everyone get lots of time off over the holidays- to spend on writing!
This is how I plan to put the star on next year... dragons are a short girl's best friend.
I love the Mercy Thompson series--March feels so far away, doesn't it?
