Some Inspiration

It's six a.m. on a Thursday, and I'm lacking anything witty to say.  Therefore, I've decided to let others say it for me.

"You only fail if you stop writing."- Ray Bradbury

"I try to create sympathy for my characters.  Then turn the monsters loose." - Stephen King

"It's none of their business that you have to learn to write.  Let them think you were born that way."
- Ernest Hemingway

"If you can tell stories, create characters, devise incidents, and have sincerity and passion, it doesn't matter a damn how you write." - Somerset Maugham

"Half my life is an act of revision." John Irving

"If you write one story it might be bad; if you write a hundred you have the odds in your favor." -Truman Capote

Happy writing!

  1. Yeah, I dig these, too. Having now self-published my debut novel and being in the midst of my next project, I can say the idea of not giving up is strong within me. However, what I now need are some quotes about getting my ass in gear, even when my life and tiredness gets in the way. :-)
